This website is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). When you visit the website, your browser automatically transmits information that is stored in server log files:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the accessing device
- Time of the server request
- IP address
The hosting provider is Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg. Servers are located in the eu-central-1 region (Frankfurt). Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and efficient website operation).
3. Web Analytics (Plausible)
This website uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly web analytics service. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. No individual visitors are tracked. All data is collected in aggregate and anonymized. Plausible is fully GDPR-compliant and does not require a cookie banner.
4. User Account (AWS Cognito)
Using the Merkraum application requires a user account. Authentication is handled by Amazon Cognito. The following data is processed:
- Email address
- Password (stored encrypted)
- Registration and last login timestamps
Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract performance) — registration is required to use the service.
5. Usage Data
When using Merkraum, the knowledge data you enter (entities, relationships, beliefs) is stored in a graph database. This data is used exclusively for providing the service and is not shared with third parties.
